The steel crew arrives and ties the steel on 8" centers using all 1/2" rebar, and on 4" centers in the deep end of the pool and the break (where the bottom slopes from shallow to deep) of the pool. The bond beam will have four bars (most pool builders only install two) of 1/2" rebar with 3/8" deck dowels (steel that ties the decking to the pool structure) every four feet.
