I don't recommend using Fed Ex

If you want your packages to arrive intact. DO NOT USE FED EX

I sent 3 Pentair Intelli-flo Pumps to a customer in Florida. These pumps cost me $1175.00 each. When the pumps arrived in Florida, the customer noticing the damaged boxes, open the packaging and saw that the pumps were damaged. They refused the packages because of the damage. Two of the pumps were damaged beyond repair and returned.  I then filled a claim with Fed Ex for the two damaged pumps. Fed Ex came back and said that the boxes were inspected at the Florida terminal and the boxes did not seem to them to be damaged and said the pumps were not packaged well enough. The pumps were packaged as they came from the manufacture with foam all around the pumps and everything. Very well packaged. Now I'm out over $2200.00 and still have not seen a dime from Fed Ex. I did get  their bill though, so I only paid for one package and not three. I filled a complaint with the BBB and still received the same response from Fed Ex. I contested the response hoping to get into arbitration.  It seems that  Fed Ex only has to say that the packaged is inadequate to get out of paying for the damage that they caused. If that the kind of business they practice then they are not going to get anymore of my business. Hopefully you will take my advise to NOT use  Fed Ex to send your packages.
